Terms of Service

Effective date: May 10, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ClaudeWork.ai (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. What ClaudeWork is

ClaudeWork.ai is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects Customers (people who want work done) with Developers (people who do the work). ClaudeWork.ai is a venue and escrow service. ClaudeWork.ai is not the seller of any service offered through the Platform, and is not a party to any contract between Customer and Developer. Each engagement is a direct contract between the Customer and the Developer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter binding contracts. By signing up you represent that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is truthful.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify Support@claudework.ai immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You must use a real, monitored email address.

You may operate as a Customer, a Developer, or both. You may switch your active mode at any time using the in-app toggle.

4. Content you post

You retain ownership of the content you post on the Platform — bounties, deliverables, profile information, messages, attachments. By posting it, you grant ClaudeWork.ai a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and process that content as needed to operate the Platform.

You agree not to post content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or violates the Acceptable Use rules in Section 11.

5. Bounties, escrow, and fees

  • Posting a bounty. When a Customer posts a job or accepts an offer, the bounty amount is debited from the Customer's wallet and held in escrow by ClaudeWork.ai.
  • Escrow. Bounties held in escrow are kept in a segregated balance and are not used by ClaudeWork.ai for any other purpose. Funds remain in escrow until released.
  • Release. When the Customer approves the deliverable, 90% of the bounty is credited to the Developer's wallet and 10% is retained by ClaudeWork.ai as a platform fee. Cancelled jobs (before a Developer accepts) refund 100% to the Customer.
  • Disputes. Either party may open a dispute on an active job. Funds remain frozen until both parties agree on a resolution (release to Developer, or refund to Customer). ClaudeWork.ai may, at its discretion, mediate or impose a resolution after a reasonable period.
  • Payment processing. Card payments and payouts are handled by Stripe. By depositing funds you also accept the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe may charge processing fees that are visible at checkout.
  • Withdrawals. Developers withdraw payouts to a bank account they control via Stripe Express. ClaudeWork.ai may pass through Stripe's payout fees.

6. Quality of work and deliverables

Customers and Developers are solely responsible for agreeing on the scope, quality, and acceptance criteria of the work. ClaudeWork.ai does not vet, certify, or guarantee any Developer's work, and does not warrant that any deliverable will meet a Customer's expectations.

7. Refunds, chargebacks, and reversals

Refunds are governed by the dispute resolution process in Section 5. Customers should attempt to resolve issues through messaging and the dispute system before initiating a chargeback with their card issuer. ClaudeWork.ai may suspend accounts that initiate chargebacks for completed work without first using the dispute process.

8. Taxes

Developers are independent contractors and are responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on income earned through the Platform. ClaudeWork.ai (via Stripe) may issue 1099-K forms or equivalents where required by law. Customers are responsible for any sales/use tax that may apply to deliverables they receive.

9. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

Unless the Customer and Developer agree otherwise in writing, the Customer receives a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the deliverables for the purpose described in the bounty. Customers may negotiate transfer of full IP ownership directly with the Developer; ClaudeWork.ai is not party to such negotiations.

The Platform itself, including its software, design, branding, and content created by ClaudeWork.ai, is the property of ClaudeWork.ai and protected by intellectual property laws.

11. Acceptable use

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Engage in fraud, money laundering, or any illegal activity
  • Buy or sell prohibited goods or services (controlled substances, weapons, sexual content involving minors, services that infringe IP, etc.)
  • Circumvent the Platform's escrow or fee structure (e.g., taking payment off-platform after meeting on the Platform)
  • Post malware, phishing content, or spam
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate any other user
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform

Violations may result in account suspension, frozen funds, and forfeiture of fees.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ClaudeWork.ai does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClaudeWork.ai will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the platform fees we collected from your transactions in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClaudeWork.ai, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from (a) your use of the Platform, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any IP or privacy right.

15. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting Support@claudework.ai. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or to comply with law. Funds in escrow at the time of termination remain subject to the dispute resolution process in Section 5.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Delaware, except that either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court. Class actions are waived to the maximum extent permitted by law.
